Physical Setting & Preparation
Find a place where water meets landβa riverbank, lakeshore, or stream edge where you can safely sit with your feet in or near the flowing water. Position yourself so your bare feet can touch the water while your body remains comfortable and stable. Rest your hands palms-up on your knees, creating open vessels to receive energy. Take note of how the water moves around any obstacles, finding its natural path. Breathe deeply, inhaling the mingled scents of damp earth and fresh water, allowing the sound of flowing water to clear your mind of scattered thoughts. Feel the contrast between the solid ground supporting you and the fluid movement of water before you.
