Find a place where you can rest without the need to be or do anything. If possible, wrap yourself in something warm and comforting. Let your body be fully supported, releasing any need to hold yourself up. Your breath will find its own gentle rhythm.
Opening - Winter's Rest

Far a bheil an saoghal a' cadal (Where the world sleeps)
Fo bhrat sneachda (Under a blanket of snow)
Feel how winter holds the sleeping earth without demanding growth. The Mother cradles you in this time of deep rest, asking nothing of you.
Body - The Quiet Heart
A Mhàthair, tha mo spiorad sgìth (Mother, my spirit is tired)
Mar craobh lom (Like a bare tree)
Gun duilleag (Without leaves)
A' feitheamh san dorchadas (Waiting in darkness)
Allow yourself to be held in this heavy stillness. The Mother remains present, like earth holding sleeping roots.

Tha mo chridhe sàmhach
