[Physical Setting Directive: Find a quiet corner where you can sit undisturbed. Have a bowl of soil or earth before you. As you meditate, let your fingers gently touch the earth, feeling its cool dampness. Allow your tears to flow freely if they come - they are as natural as spring rain.]
Opening - Embracing Winter's Last Tears
A' Mhàthair Chaomh, gabh ri mo bhròn Gentle Mother, accept my sorrow

Tha mi a' tighinn thugad le mo dheòir I come to you with my tears
[Feel the heaviness of late winter in your bones. Notice how the earth holds both decay and promise, how last autumn's leaves nurture tomorrow's growth. The sky holds both clouds and growing light.]
