What Wendy's Doing:
The spray-tanned autocrat fired his attack dog for not manufacturing convictions fast enough. They're rebranding child torture as therapy. Hawaii's drowning. I woke at 4 AM with my jaw clenched. The Gathering runs on paid readers who refuse to look away. Join them.

❄️ Weather Check ❄️
Atlanta: 70°F, partly cloudy — humidity settling into collarbones like a warning the body knows before the brain.
Detroit: 65°F, hazy sun — warmth borrowed against a weekend that'll drop thirty degrees, the way promises do.
Kansas City: 61°F, overcast — clouds pressing the grain elevators, the whole sky holding its breath.
New York: 47°F, gray — the chill sitting in commuter marrow three stops past caring.
San Francisco: 50°F, sharp sun — cold and clear as a scalpel, fog burned off like it had somewhere honest to be.
Miami: 77°F, thick and still — air on your chest like a hand that won't move.
The Daily Gathering
The felony-convicted carnival barker tossed Bondi yesterday like a used napkin. Your taxes paid her to weaponize federal law against the president's enemies list — and she wasn't vicious enough.
First time here? Welcome to The Gathering.
Editor's note: When the garbage takes itself out but the can still reeks, you bleach the whole goddamn thing.
Bondi Gets Fisted: By Trump
The fluorescent lights at DOJ have seen miserable shit. Nothing like Pam Bondi — who turned the nation's top law enforcement post into an errand desk for a twice-impeached reality show demagogue, then got fired for insufficient obedience.
What they said: "He is looking for scalps but she hasn't delivered."
This incompetent, sycophantic disaster served 14 months — shortest confirmed AG tenure in 60 years. She lied about having Epstein's client list on her desk. No list existed. She handed influencers binders of recycled nothing and called it transparency. She prosecuted Comey and Letitia James on the bone-spurred despot's orders — a federal judge threw both cases out. She went after Powell, Schiff, Clapper, Brennan. Anyone the orange-tinged grifter pointed at.
She wasn't fired for any of it. She was fired because she couldn't convict.
The damage:
Human cost: Career prosecutors purged. FBI agents terminated. Federal law enforcement credibility — gutted.
Pattern: Sessions marginalized → Barr bent but wouldn't crawl → Bondi crawled and got kicked. Each AG goes further. Each gets trashed.
Action: Demand hearings proceed. Bondi testifies April 14 — fired or not.

This woman couldn't manage a drive-through window without lying about what's in the bag.
Hawaii Drowning: The Government Doesn’t Give A Shit
Oahu's North Shore used to smell like plumeria and salt. Last month — sewage and sodden drywall. Over 400 homes destroyed. Damages exceeding $1 billion.
Two Kona low storms hit Hawaii in March. Record rainfall. Ground already saturated when the second struck.
Evidence:
Relationship breaking: 100,000 lost power. 5,500 evacuated. Ten hospitalized for hypothermia — in a tropical state.
Scale: $10.5 million in crops destroyed in hours. Most Hawaiian farmers carry no insurance.
Expert voice: Governor Green called it the worst flooding in 20 years. North Shore residents say they weren't alerted until cars were floating.
The Constitution-shredding man-child's administration gutted FEMA and slashed climate adaptation funding. Every flooded living room is a policy choice.
Action: Support Hawai'i farming recovery. Demand climate adaptation funding restored. Earth.org
The water recedes. The mold doesn't.
Gender Exploratory Therapy: Conversion Therapy In Gussied Up Words
Dr. Renee Baker, trans woman, Dallas therapist, says what this community knows in its marrow: "Gender exploratory therapy is about pathologizing anything that's not a gender binary."

credit: Renee-baker.com
The whole scam. Right there.
Stakes:
Pattern: Supreme Court ruled 8-1 against Colorado's conversion therapy ban last week — protected speech, apparently. The SPLC identified the "Gender Exploratory Therapy Association" as anti-LGBT pseudoscience. A 2017 legal strategy document says it plainly: relabel conversion therapy "gender identity exploration."
Timeline: Electroshock → reparative therapy → ex-gay ministry → "exploratory therapy." Same poison. New label.
What the actual fuck. 1.6 million trans Americans, 300,000 trans youth, and this country offers them rebranded abuse with a Supreme Court stamp and a friendlier font. This isn't therapy. It's state-sanctioned gaslighting.

They keep renaming the cage. We keep refusing to climb inside.
Life Survival: Resistance
"Possessing our stories is the way we take care of ourselves." — Laverne Cox, actress, activist, first openly transgender Primetime Emmy nominee (2014)
Survival wisdom: The stories they try to therapize out of trans kids kept every one of us alive. Possession of your own narrative was always the first act of resistance. Bondi's DOJ tried rewriting who counts. The conversion therapists try rewriting who you're allowed to be. Same feral refusal. Same pen. Yours.
What have you witnessed this week that you haven't yet found language to name?

Life Survival: Action
"The moment we choose to love we begin to move against domination, against oppression." — bell hooks, from All About Love: New Visions (2000)
Your armor for today: Love as political act isn't a bumper sticker — it's deciding to give a damn when they bank on your exhaustion. Bondi's gone but the machine still hires. What hooks understood: love isn't the soft option. It's the most dangerous thing in a system running on isolation. Love the scared kid. Love yourself when the news makes it impossible. That's the war.
What are you willing to protect with your body and name — not in theory, but before the week is out?
