I've spent my entire life in the Metro Kansas City area, and it's a place where you really need a car. It's spread out, lots of suburbs, and very little public transportation.

I have some sympathy for Tesla buyers who wanted to do something environmentally conscious, and are now reaping the scorn of so many people as a result of the car they're driving.

I work for an energy industry adjacent corporation, so I know something about the future of energy, and it is not in fossil fuels no matter how much Trump and company want that.

People became far too accustomed in the '50s and '60s to car centric living. Transportation should be massed as much as possible If we are serious about repairing the damage that has been done to our environment. I live almost an hour away from my office, and I am required to work there three days a week. The other two I work from home. If it were possible for me to get to the office using mass transit, I would, because commuting sucks. I wish more people would push for mass transit than for remote work, even though I wish I could be fully remote. Corporations are the ones with the power, and it looks like they're going to require people to return to the office if the feds are any example. So doesn't it make sense that we work to establish mass transit to get people where they need to go? Just spitballin' here 😁

Excellent expose' Wendy. And brilliant writing, as always. I didn't know about Tesla's regulatory credits, but you can always rely on the Felon to exploit any opportunity that he can. If only we could deport him back to South Africa.
