Long-time trauma buddy here. Speaking out can take decades even when not encumbered by an NDA, and may never happen at all.

The fear is palpable, and no one can blame a thirteen year-old for keeping secrets when she thinks her families lives are at risk. She was taken from them and maybe she is forty now, but continues to keep her feelings of doubt and guilt. To whatever extent she does not continue to believe her perpetrators' lies, she is bound and tied, prevented from speaking by a web of NDAs. criminality and collusion - a conspiracy.

Speaking out is a big step from victim to survivor. Recovery is a process, and it is life. Survival.

Mine took half a century from her rape to her telling. What next, who knows? Maybe she will write. We are rooting for every one of Epstein's girls. You will be heard and believed. We know you have no personal stake in this beyond your lives.

September 3 is a day set to strike back at victim blaming. Survivors who speak out nationally will lead the way for others. Let there be light.

She's using the Donold playbook...She’s banking on the psychological principle that if you repeat a lie often enough and with enough conviction, people start to question their own reality.

She's lying through her teeth about everything but who's to say she doesn't have a 'fuck you' card in case anything happens to her?
