You know what really grinds my gears: How we're documenting our own descent into fascism with a fucking checklist
The stench hits you first—that particular rot of democracy decomposing in real-time, catalogued and categorized like specimens in a fascist's trophy case. It's the smell of fresh ink on executive orders that strip rights faster than a backroom poker game strips dignity, mixed with the sulfuric reek of institutional collapse packaged as "policy updates." You can taste it on your tongue, metallic and wrong, like licking a battery made of broken promises and authoritarian fever dreams.

Welcome to the Trump Action Tracker, where we've turned the systematic dismantling of American democracy into a fucking Google Sheet. Because apparently, we needed a database to track the daily atrocities. Donaldo Fartfisted signs another executive order gutting environmental protections? Add it to the spreadsheet. Elon MicroTool fires more federal workers for the crime of competence? Column B, row 47, timestamp that shitshow. Mike BibleFucker votes to strip healthcare from trans kids? Update the tracker, refresh the page, watch the number climb like a body count.
But what happens when we choose to meticulously document our own destruction while doing fuck-all to stop it? What does it say about us that we've built infrastructure for cataloguing fascism more sophisticated than our infrastructure for resisting it?
The Bureaucracy of Our Own Goddamn Nightmare
Let me paint you a picture of where we are right fucking now. Since January 20, 2025—and yes, we're tracking from Day One of this clusterfuck—the Trump Action Tracker has logged over 2,100 documented actions. Twenty-one hundred times the administration has moved to dismantle, destroy, or pervert some aspect of democratic governance. We're approaching the one-year mark of this shitshow, and the number keeps climbing like a fever chart in a plague ward.

Here's where this shitshow goes from bad to fucking catastrophic: We're not talking about normal policy disagreements. We're documenting the systematic weaponization of executive power against specific populations chosen for their vulnerability, while Trumpty MouthAnus tweets petty bullshit about celebrities who escaped to France.

THE PATTERN REVEALS:
IMMIGRATION AS WARFARE: ICE launching a $100 million "wartime recruitment" campaign targeting conservative radio listeners and gun enthusiasts with $50,000 signing bonuses, ads drenizing immigrants like they're enemy combatants rather than human beings seeking safety.
FEDERAL EXTORTION: HHS freezing childcare payments to all states until they "prove" funds are spent "legitimately"—because apparently holding children's welfare hostage is how you govern when you're a vindictive cockwaffle who thinks federal aid is a loyalty test. <2>
PETTY AUTHORITARIAN TANTRUMS: Donald ProlapsedAsshole using official presidential statements to attack George Clooney for getting French citizenship, because nothing says "leader of the free world" like obsessing over celebrity citizenship decisions while your country burns.
Translation: We're watching the infrastructure of democratic governance get dismantled piece by piece while we maintain really excellent fucking records about it.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Here's where my stomach turns itself inside-fucking-out: We've got timestamps. We've got policy descriptions. We've got impact assessments and affected populations and links to source documents. What we don't have is a coordinated resistance movement using this data to actually stop any of this shit from happening.
The tracker documents ICE's propaganda campaign using American symbolism to recruit agents for mass deportation operations—you can read the exact ad copy, see the budget allocation, trace the demographic targeting. It feels important, like documentation matters, like bearing witness counts for something. But those ads are still running. Those agents are still being recruited. That militarization is still policy.
