Regarding your note “Seven-year famines affecting "all the world" are historically impossible”

Could this not be hyperbole to explain a widespread famine? It seems possible if the writers were trying to engage the reader/listener.

Thank you for posting this, the clarity of modern analysis is vital in putting these stories in their context. The books of the Bible should be examined just as rigorously as any other ancient text and the results widely shared

I love your methodically dissected chapter 18. I appreciate this type analysis as a former jehova’s witness and now freed Atheist. I love and understand this complex patriarchal composition with a thick lens. I wonder if you use God an anatomy as a reference? By professor Francesca Stavrakopoulou.
