This is way over my head. I download al important info to and external 10gig hard drive then permanently delete from source. Photos are uploaded to a separate external and then deleted from source. Both externals are store off the premises.

I ain't worried about getting my laptop stolen, it's a cheap Temu Chromebook that has nothing on it. I got it for University and that's it. All of my important stuff is done through Google 2SA and Google generated passwords that does a better job than I could.

What about for an android device? My phone does have biometric lock activated, but is that enough?

Biometric locks are good, but not always full proof. Mobile devices are quite a different animal, but if you watch any popular film where device security (Red Notice was a good example of this hilariously), Biometric locks arent FULL proof. I was more trying to discuss the ins and outs of Laptop and computer security over mobile device security.
