Not yet 70 and I’ve had CVI for a while now due to running too many marathons and working on my feet for a few decades. However, with compressions stockings and a lot of walking, weight control etc it’s ok. Sure, wearing these stockings during the summer isn’t fun but it sure beats weeping ulcers, swollen legs and blood clots. Great writing, thanks so much.

Your vivid descriptions of every aspect of DJTs disease makes me want to entirely skip my older years and just have a piano dislodge itself from the cargo section of a 737 and land on my head. (Think, “Two and a Half Men”, finale, when what we think is probably Charlie Sheen’s character has something like that happen to him.)

The thing is, I compliment you on the bluntness you bring to the subject. It’s one thing to read it all in the context of a man many like me despise down to his subcellular level. It’s another to have dealt with it in two parents who were diametrically opposed in their genetic makeups. My mom had the vein problems and died of congestive heart failure, which was bluntly fucking horrific. (She was obstinate and unwilling to go to doctors or the hospital). Then my dad, still living, has the best cardiovascular system at 89 but is suffering from dementia, where to quote Jeff Friedrich, his brain is going “fuckity-bye”. I am torn over which is worse to watch, and frankly just think old age is a cruel way to die.

That said, I have no compassion whatsoever for Trump, any more than I have compassion for Hitler, Pol-Pot, or a hundred other figures in history who - if it is true - get to fade to black and nothingness upon their death. If it’s not true and hell exists, well, you know where I hope they end up.

THANK YOU, WENDY as always - spot on, great work! Appreciate what you do here so much. 💙

I will say this: I have hoped for , Trump's sudden death for 10 years, but after reading this article and comments graphically describing the pain and suffering he is undergoing, let him suffer a leeeetle while longer, then die. Even Trump should not die like the Henry VIII he thinks he is.

But. We've got ratfuckers JD Prance, Peter ShitTheil, Russell Bought, slavering and rubbing their hands together in the wings waiting waiting waiting.

They are worse than Trump to the power of a number not discovered yet. Are our current Dems up to handling them? 🤔 Hell Fucking No, with a few exceptions. I don't pray, but if I did, I'd pray like a dying man that those few exceptions are forging an offense the likes of which no one has ever seen.

Thank You For Your Attention to This Matter.

Must be a really bad bruise to cover it with normal skin color makeup instead of his orange goop.

As a heart attack survivor, every year when I get my check up with my cardiologist, he checks the circulation at my ankles just to screen for this.

My stepfather who passed away in 2018 at 86 had congestive heart failure and that was exasperated by CVI and he didn't manage it well (the diuretics were something he wouldn't take. There was a freezer full of his prescriptions that he never took.)

Of course, he was 86, and he was going out on his own terms, but the last couple months were not good at all.

I’ve been hoping for a slow painful death. He deserves the karma he’s about to receive. All the negative forces of the universe is about to give him the energy he put out into the universe back. 👏🏽🙏👍🏼
