Let’s place the blame clearly where it belongs: the betrayers among us. The BETRAYERS who live very very comfortably while the rest of the disabled, minority and TRUE empaths keep on getting betrayed. And kicked and shoved and raped and beaten. This ain’t a movie. This ain’t a BRAVOcelebration. This is real fucking life. Real fucking life. For US. OUR country.

Wendy, again your article hits the heart and soul and mind waking us to the voice of reality that disperses our anger into positive action.

Manufactured chaos is intrinsically more evil because we’ve already seen its hideous likeness. When the California National Guard is ordered to turn on its own citizens, who have the right to a peaceful protest, so that ICE can come after immigrants who are working in businesses and paying their share of taxes is beyond demented. If we the people go after the regime by hitting them financially, Blue States not paying taxes to the government you have crippled their control of spending. If the National Guard and Marines from California start rejecting the orders from commander chief diaper pants, then you’re pulling the muscle and fangs from the devil. This chaos has been created for theatrics to deflect us from the regime’s current actions, which is manufacturing more evil. They are keeping us 6 steps behind while they gain momentum to enshrine mandate 2025 into the fabric of our lives. The architects behind project 2025 must be removed.

In your exceptional article, resistance is key. You wrote:

“…resistance isn't just about stopping the bad guys. It's about proving to ourselves that we're still human, that we still give a shit about something bigger than our own immediate comfort. Every act of resistance is a declaration that we refuse to let our souls be crushed under the boot of authoritarianism.”

I use to visit LA for buying trips and went to the very places that ICE went to and grabbed immigrants who were working in retail stores, presenting their products to me with pride. They are Asians and Hispanics. (I am Asian American with Spanish descendants). They are not criminals or drug dealers or in a gang.

We need a leader to form that resistance. We need that person now.

I worked on my PhD in self care for years; I even graduated at the top of my class! I could not foresee that it would be a war-level requirement for this time on Earth, but it has helped me survive this past decade. I will not give over my joy or health to the orange shit gibbon and the cult (good band name?) That alone keeps me focused so that I am here to support others now and be prepared when we rebuild.

Now for Word of the Day: lalochezia (pronounced - lal oh keys ia)

Emotional discharge gained by uttering indecent or filthy words.

I walk around my house lalochezia-ing all over like I bet many do. Now you know it's good for your health. It's unapologetically built into my self-care regime. :)

It's about "Get off your ass," literally and figuratively. I understand there are people who can't get off their asses: one I know is waiting for a hip replacement; another is literally crippled beyond any hope of movement. But, as you said, Wendy, phone calls, emails, painting signs, meetings, face time, they all count for something. They're all a part of NOT ON MY WATCH. NOT IN MY TOWN. NOT IN MY BACKYARD. NOT IN MY POCKETBOOK. Thanks, Wendy. I love your way with words!

Resistance comes in many forms, boycotts , protests, communication, and preparedness. All important , but for those for good reasons not to protest, or don’t feel qualified to communicate the dangers as Wendy has done, PREPARE. Not hope for the best , prepare for the worst but work for the best , prepare for the worst. If the goal is to make us sick, hungry and defenseless, don’t let them! Start storing food , buy sales , have alternate ways of cooking, cooling and heating…. Solar fans, rocket stoves . Develop some skills in cooking canning, dehydrating . Buy masks while you still can, have a good first aid kit, know how to defend your property. There are so many survival sites on YouTube that can give you tips even if money is tight. It is something tangible you can do to channel some of that angst.

But seriously if you can get to a protest please do… we need to make a big statement across this country… treat it like it’s your last chance to save things because that is what it is

Thanks Wendy. I am doing everything I can think of, even changing the tone of my own writing whilst standing on my head typing out of energetic frustration, to get people to wake up. It’s not that I think people are in any way stupid or ignorant as individuals - it’s (like you point out) that it’s a sleepwalk that they want us to gently go through. Fuck that. The wake-up point will be insanely painful when the real consequences hit home for everyone - homes lost to foreclosure, jobs jettisoned out the airlock, American companies shutting down, and no, I’m not being hyperbolic.

There is unfortunately a long, connective chain between my last sentence’s reality and all the shit that precedes it. But you are dead-the-fuck on, the point of no return is here. I haven’t been so analytically sure based on the evidence at hand that I’m right, and I wish I wasn’t.

Thank you many times over for helping to widen the community of people who ARE “woke” to the fact that life in this country is about to change radically for the worse if we don’t stand up to the authoritarian forces taking it over Right.Fucking.Now.

Great insights Wendy. This is exactly what I’m dealing with. The hopeless feeling and rage that I will be discussing in therapy today. I have even done some writing to process on what would the violent approach look like and how could it ever succeed in today’s disconnected and overt surveillance society. Needless to say that approach is not promising. It’s a different world now than during the troubles in Northern Ireland. Can’t say I want to spend my retirement years in the gulag. I really am wrestling with how far am I willing to let those fascist fucks push me vs the old AA saying, let go and let God. Because right now I feel like I’m on a political bender that might lead to my destruction, like where my drinking was leading.

There are so many more of us than them! Not everyone had to put their actual body on the line. If protests turn violent from the rogue anarchist or planted maga/kkk/Christi fascist name your idiot who is just looking for a fight we need to walk away- don’t sit diwn, you become a sitting target and might get trampled. Let the organizers deal with the lawbreakers at protests. The people just showing up are there to peacefully protest but when it takes a violent turn, we need to walk away until things cool down. Don’t give an audience to the idiots. Sure you can film them if it is safe to do so but please everyone take care of yourselves during the protest. Other than that, just keep showing up at school board meeting, city Townhall meetings, local legislative district Democrats meetings or indivisible meetings Find a school board candidate you can support work for a campaign for a candidate who shares your values help people get registered. Those are the ways we fight back. I know it’s a rough slow process, but we will keep the pressure on in all these different areas. You don’t have to do it all just pick one that you are passionate aboutand thank you for continuing to write and speak up.
