Another exceptional love story. I’m not gay, but I believe in a loving Creator whose Son died on the Cross for us and with the Holy Spirit, if accepted, will guide us in our underdstanding about how we should live our lives.
I think this sentiment and faith describes the beliefs of most Christians.
That being said, logically and faithfully, by definition, God does not create a person who has a natural impulse and desire to love and desire sexual relations with another person or persons of the same sex.
These desires are natural not learned as though to crave something because that individual suddenly decided to learn to be gay like one learns to fish.
To think otherwise requires us to believe in an imperfect Creator. And we, as Christians, can’t have it both ways.
Unfotunately, at least for me, a significant number of purported Christians perceive that sex may only be non-sinful if between a man and a woman, and some even stipulate that OK only if it is for the purpose of procreation. (One of the reasons I stopped thinking about going into the seminary.)
So, I’ll conclude with one last request for those who refer to themselves or others as (queer). The term queer is often used in a derogatory manner to insult someone.
A queer person is not a strange, bad person who is unfit to be a man or a woman. It’s like saying if you blood type isn’t O positve, you do not deserve to be happy and you must have a transfusion to O positive even if it harms you, if not kills you.
I am taking it on myself to provide queer history lessons for months and months, until we all can learn about our sister, brothers, and siblings out there, and the fight they had.
Thank you so much. I didn't know about these queer ancestors, but I knew my father was wrong when he told me I'd never get a job or have a family when I came out to him in 1977. Thank goodness I found lesbian community and now know more about these brave lesbians.
Wendy-that is a great history lesson for the world! Thank you for telling it!!!!
You are gonna love the Marlene Deitrich, Acosta one, its fucking juicy.
Tess, I have about 160 more lessons coming.
Its been a fun ride so far.

So beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing this lovely story with us, Wendy. ❤️😊
Always welcome
That is just the sweetest love story! And what brilliant work they did! My youngest was born at 28 weeks, and is alive because of women like that. ❤️

I love this. ❤️
Great story, I wasn’t aware of them.
We are going to be providing a TON of queer history and experience, I promise you.
