Okay, the religious right wins the battle for religious power. The "remnant" that fled to Babylon loses everything. Morality and good governance was a pipe dream and the pipe has gone out. One interesting tidbit that I've wondered about for years is how Islam decided that the "Flame and the Sword" was the way to get converts to Islam. Look no further. The Jews gave them the blueprint.

We are officially out of the Iron Age, but the Iron Age mentality still reigns supreme. If God really wants to fix things He needs to Delete All and Restart humanity with a better brain.

Well, if I needed something to turn me into a complete atheist, this was it.

I am a complete atheist and was before this series started. The catch is that I was always puzzled by how homo sapiens turned out to be such assholes when no other life form seems to delight in violence and cruelty. Even cats playing with mice don't display the same level of cruelty that humans do to each other and other animals they come in contact with. Cats may kill their playthings but they don't invent elaborate torture devices to kill the mice they catch.

Well you have a point. I waiver back and forth. My dad more of an atheist but he had five bibles (different translations) and he was a pretty strict 10 Commandments guy (thou shalt not steal, etc.) His morality was unimpeachable, which is more than I can say for my brother, the loser property developer. My mother too. I can barely speak to my brother, and actually, I don't. Forgiveness is pretty much off the table, and I'm glad my dad didn't know what happened. It never occurred to him what my brother was doing... And my mother, who handled the money, never anticipated it. Our accountant never anticipated it.
