Thi article is nauseating. Not for the subject matter,, but for the mendacity of Project 2025 and its instigators.

I used to think the phobia against LGBTQ+ people was due to straight people being afraid of their own sexuality. Maybe in the early days of emergence of recognition of the fluidity of sexuality they was true. Of course there was always the Pentecostal Christian who believed most every thing was evil that was not either work nor religion. But as more people became estranged from the mainstream churches and more progressive types of churches gained popularity it seemed that society grew as well. Now the pendulum has swung the other way but instead of fears about the continuum of sexuality it is right wing Christians who somehow have stoked their need to control everyone to “save them” into control just for hate’s sake. The conforming to sameness is just what any autocrat wants… a populace that is so busy making sure their neighbor conforms to a cookie cutter standard that they don’t worry about their lack of freedoms.

Great article. But, there are a couple VERY IMPORTANT points of Project 2025, & the “conservative America plan” missing, concerning the ACTUAL KILLING of all LGBTQIA+ Americans. The framing, in law, of transgender “ideology” (education concerning, support for, & public existence of, transgender people), as “OBSCENITY & PORNOGRAPHY”, as well as “CHILD SA & PAEDOPHILIA”, while also widely criminalizing this (& all) pornography, with harsh federal sentences. On top of this, framing all acknowledgment, education, & public knowledge of LGBTQIA+ individuals as “the sexual grooming of children”, i.e. paedophilia, i.e. child SA. And then, the bloody icing on the genocidal cake… bringing back the death sentence & mandating it for paedophilia, & child SA.

Now, I don’t know if ALL OF THESE things are outlined as specific policy positions within the monstrous tome that is Project 2025. But, it is all certainly part of the Christian nationalist conservative American fascist movement, regardless. Lawmakers in states such as Florida & Texas, have already advanced such legislation in their legislative chambers. Connecting the dots isn’t hard, when you can see all the dots, and they are clearly numbered…

I feel like it is a major oversight to not mention this, in an article titled, ‘Kill All LGBTQIA+’, even if they may have been outlined & alluded to, elsewhere. Because these things, more than any others, create the DIRECT LEGAL FRAMEWORK for doing so.

Having lived in deep red (NC), red-purple (OH) and very blue(WA & CT) states, I can say with some certainty that it is going to fall on cities and towns that are LGBTQIA+ friendly to step up their game in this order 1) Psychological care - trans people, gay people, not sure people are all DESERVING of the nurturing and clarifying medical care that services their mental health. I’ve seen both the awful ends and great ends of the spectrum long before P25 came out and is codifying all of this. NC was a shit show for trans/LGB people - I had to step out of my day job and spend much of my time back in emergency counseling services. CT/WA was so much better - believe it or not the world in CT isn’t as weird and polar as you might think, especially the east side of the state. Fairfield county comes to mind, through Bridgeport.

OH is a fucked up and long story. I don’t want to tell it again right at the moment, but suffice to say the purpleness really leaves younger people in a danger zone that’s worse in some ways than a deep red state. At least you don’t have as many wolves in sheep’s clothing like here (OH). Here you can walk into a psych/counseling office and think you have trans-friendly help coming only to get into a fucking conversion therapy religious nutcase situation. It’s malpractice and weaponization at its worst.

All of the shit in this part of P25 just AMPLIFIES the hatred that exists in small minded motherfuckers who, more often than not, are deeply troubled by their own sexuality but don’t even know it on a conscious level. They just want to look, point, make fun of, degrade, shame, humiliate people who sometimes are on the verge of unaliving themselves and it makes my heart break. And it does make me want to scream.

I’m not sure, at least I haven’t figured out yet how to do that.

Before the election, I was talking to my doctor and my WHNP-BC about the threat Trump poses towards me as a transgender person and they both said that they will keep providing me the best medical care possible. I had used my United Healthcare App and had a chat with a representative and they told me that they would keep covering my medical treatment and for me to not worry about Trump.
