You know what really grinds my gears: The fact that we're watching democracy eat itself alive while fascists use LGBTQIA+ folks as fucking scapegoats, and somehow half the country thinks this shit-show is normal.
I have a message to share but don't know where and with whom to share it and then suddenly I find myself here. So I share here. Maybe it's unwanted, but I'm here anyways.
Four weeks ago I was following a Robert Reich article on economics in the Guardian. Now I'm here. I never heard of Substack. I don't have any other social media account. I've never posted anything online. Yet, here I am. I came across an article on "Christian interpretation with an agenda" (not the actual title) and I was like, "Yeah. That's the fucking truth. I felt it in my soul". That's how I met WendyTheDruid. Then I saw her on a video. That was shocking. I don't know what I was expecting. Loved her anyways!
My message, to your whole community, God loves you. There is nothing wrong with you. You are the way you were meant to be. Maybe it sucks, maybe it's exactly how you want to be, maybe you're undecided. God never promised life would be easy (actually implies the opposite) but, just like every other soul on this planet, you are valid and deserving of every promise He made. Roman's chapter one is misinterpreted as the LGBTQIA+ community causing a whole list of evil, but it's read backwards. The evil was first and LGBTQIA+ is God's cure.
I don't know much about druid religion?/community, but based on what I've read/seen/heard from you, I imagine you are powerful/high ranking?/revered. You are no doubt an inspiring and thoughtful mentor. Really, I am in awe of you; of your knowledge, your empathy, your courage.
You may have noticed that I'm a Christian, but I don't think my beliefs are much different from yours. There are powerful ancient/archaic forces out there that should be respected. If you were to tell me that you didn't believe in my God, I would say it doesn't matter. In the Book of Job, God leads with "Look at my servant Job how much he loves Me". People think this is part of the morale of the story; suffer without wavering gets recognition. But that is not the case. The morale is, Job wasn't blessed because he loved God; Job was blessed. because God loved Job.
I perceive you to be a Moses type. People will follow you. Lead your people well.

I have to say, I've been losing sleep over the inevitable ramping up of these attacks. I have many LGBTQIA+ friends/family I'm concerned about. I intend to keep fighting until the bitter end. My dad was a WWII Navy veteran and fought the fascists--I will do no less!
I liked the point you made that maga actually needs the LGBTQIA+ community; projecting them as the monsters so we don't see who the real monsters are. I believe this will be their downfall. God makes evil deeds work for good. Their relentless pursuit of marginal communities in such an obvious attempt to make them look better will expose them.
If I could encourage you to hang in there, I would remind you of the blind man, blind for 35 years, who suffered as such so that Jesus ministry could start. Even your suffering will be for the glory of God as he carries out justice on His enemies. You will be vindicated!
