Where some people talk themselves out of it with excuses like, “but he’s so charming,” “he’s always been nice to me,” “I like what he represents,” or whatever other nonsense they use to delude themselves, you go right to the core of who they are. I spent decades treating and assessing the juvenile versions of them, and their victims. There’s a reason judges asked that I do the assessments. And the high-risk ones? As adults, most are where they belong and the paperwork doesn’t disappear. The low-risk ones? I’ve received thanks.
