And now here we are, where that same schmuck will get us all killed over a joke that has been festering in his cranium for 14 years. Fuck him and that apocalyptic horse he rode in on.
Just strap him to a big fucking rock and toss him into a deep body of water. He would almost certainly poison some fish, but it would do a lot less damage than a nuke overall.
So what next? Iran attacks our military bases in the area, terrorist attacks by their supporters in the US, putting American tourists in danger, etc etc This has too much of a possibility into becoming World War III. Even if it doesn’t what will be the price of gas and goods goes astronomical when they close the sea channel and or attack American ships or American flagged ships. The potential for this to go sideways is just beyond belief.

I was watching that Correspondents dinner live in 2011 and when I saw the camera cut away to the seething T💩p, I had a premonition that ‘something wicked this way comes.’ I had the same feeling when I’d heard that Bush the Lesser had been elected Governor of Texas, and I remember quite clearly saying out loud to myself “God help us when he becomes president.”

Trump is a symptom of a wider problem. US hegemony must end. Recall Harris’ convention speech when she committed to making the US the “most lethal” army in the world. We were screwed either way.
Has it not been the ‘most lethal army in the world’ for some time? Like …. since the last time it actually won a war 80 years ago? If the American basketball team had lost so many on the trot surely someone would have concluded by now that it really wasn’t the national sport. But you couldn’t expect a guy who hasn’t noticed his own consistency in failing businesses and failed ‘deals’ to pick up on the pattern.
I agree that US hegemony must end, and that will take some real work. And yes, we’d be screwed either way, because when you’re a hammer everything looks like a nail. Screwed, and yet screwed differently. We’ll never know what would have happened with President Harris, but we’re definitely living through a hell of a reality with Trump.

Doubt if even he could find laugh-evoking satire in the coming shit show. Guess I'd better go turn on the tv news to fast-forward through the lies Trump is most likely spewing, trying to find some facts about last night's efforts.
